Learn to Swim with Us

The Cove at The Lakefront® is pleased to offer a robust learn-to-swim program.

Please note that each swim class has a maximum of five participants per instructor with a max of two instructors. You will be notified via email or phone if a class is cancelled or rescheduled. 

Classes may be moved at the Town’s discretion if only two or fewer classes have enough enrollments to make. The Town of Little Elm will only offer swim lessons up to Level 3. For general inquiries about the Town of Little Elm’s Aquatics program, please email thecove@littleelm.org.

Session Information

Residents and members can get the discounted resident rate by registering in person at The Cove™.

For Session 1 (March 4-27), member and resident registration for group swim lessons will begin on February 19. Non-resident and non-member registration will begin on February 26. 

 

For Session 2 (April 8-May 1), member and resident registration for group swim lessons will begin on March 25. Non-resident and non-member registration will begin on April 1.

 

Please note that each swim class (except private lessons) has a maximum of 10 participants per class and a minimum of five participants per class. Classes with fewer than five enrollees the Friday before class is

scheduled to start will be moved or combined with other classes in order to meet the minimum enrollment.

This course gives young children ages 3 to 5 a positive introduction to water safety and helps participants feel comfortable in the water and enjoy the water safely. These lessons are 30 minutes in length. 

This course gives young children ages three to five a positive introduction to water safety. Builds on the skills learned in Preschool Level 1 and gives participants success with fundamental skills, such as floating and basic locomotion in the water. These lessons are 30 minutes in length. 

Gives young children about ages three to five a positive introduction to water safety. Builds on the skills in Preschool Level 2 and improves participants’ coordination of simultaneous arm and leg actions and alternating arm and leg actions. These lessons are 30 minutes in length.

Learn to Swim Level Program

The beginning of a three-level, progression-based program that helps swimmers ages 6 or older develop their water safety, survival and swimming skills. It is designed to give participants a positive learning experience and help participants feel comfortable in the water. Swimmers will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of swimming. These lessons are 45 minutes in length. 

The second of a three-level, progression-based program that helps swimmers ages six or older develop their water safety, survival and swimming skills. It is designed to give participants a positive learning experience. Gives participants success with fundamental skills. These lessons are 45 minutes in length.
